Game 1 – Tex 4 Sox 0
The Sox hitting troubles resurfaced against the Rangers as the Sox dropped a 4-0 decision. Edwin Jackson took the loss as he pitched 5.1 Innings giving up 4 runs on 11 hits while walking 3 and striking out 6. The bullpen was near perfect in its 3.2 innings as Pena surrendered a hit and Ohman walked one, Chris Sale struck out 1 in his inning. The hitters scattered 5 hits with AJ getting 2 of them.
Game 2 – Sox 4 Tex 3
The Sox won another close one on a Brent Morel 3 run homer. John Danks was effectively wild walking 6 in his 6.1 innings also giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, still winless on the year. Jesse Crain added 1.2 innings for his first win of the year and El Matador, Sergio Santos pitched one perfect inning for his 6th consecutive save of the year. Brent Morel not only played excellent defense but also drove in 3 of the Sox runs on his 1st homer of 2011. The Sox managed only 4 hits but worked 6 walks.
