The Yankees rolled into town on all cylinders. The Sox were swept in the four game series dropping by scores of 3-2, 6-0, 18-7, 7-2. the Yankees dominated in all aspects of the game. The bats were quiet much of the series with the exception of the 3rd game in which the Sox were able to score 7 runs, unfortunately, the Yankees scored 18. Juan Pierre continued his late season surge going 5/15 and De Aza went an outstanding 9/5 and AJ was solid getting 5 hits in 13 abs.
Starters Peavy Humber and Danks each had solid outings that were not backed up by the hitters and Gavin Floyd was roughed, able to muster only 2.1 innings surrendering 10 Earned. The bullpen had one of its worst series of the year, surrendering 13 earned runs over 12.1 innings, all the runs were pretty equally spread out.
