*3B Ian Stewart is day-to-day with a sore quad and 2B Darwin Barney is day-to-day with tightness in his left side.
*The Theo compensation is what step close to becoming official … the Cubs sent 21-year old RHP Aaron Kurcz to the Red Sox as the PTNBL. We are still waiting word on who the Cubs will receive. Also, the Padres compensation from the Cubs too.
Tomorrow the Cubs will play the San Francisco at 3 p.m. central.
