On Friday, the Chicago Bears signed a former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker to their offseason roster. The Bears are adding talent for new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to work with during OTAs this spring.
The Bears will look to free agency in March and the draft in April to find key starters on the offensive and defensive lines. However, Chicago will still look to beef up most positions ahead of their offseason workouts this spring.
The Chicago Bears signed Swayze Bozeman

Per the league’s transaction wire on Friday, the Bears signed former Chiefs linebacker Swayze Bozeman. The Chiefs signed Bozeman as an undrafted free agent in 2024 out of Southern Miss. At 26, the six-foot-one, 224-pound linebacker spent most of the season on the practice squad.
However, he appeared in three games for Kansas City. The native of Flora, Mississippi recorded two tackles in the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Bozeman played seven snaps of defense for the Chiefs and 57 snaps on special teams in his rookie season. Bozeman could be a player to key in on this offseason as a surprise player to make the 53-man roster during training camp if Allen can further develop the young talent in his second season in the league.
