The off-season has already been an interesting one for the Chicago Bulls and today a new report might tell more about the Bulls future.
According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls have told forward Taj Gibson that he will be the starter next season. With this move, it means that Carlos Boozer has all but played his last game as a Chicago Bull.
The Bulls will now try to trade Boozer or amnesty him this summer.
Last year was Boozers worst season as a Bull since he joined the team in the summer of 2010. The 32-year-old averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds. Meanwhile, Gibson averaged 13 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Gibson finished 2nd to Jamal Crawford for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award.
The Bulls are also considered to be in play for both Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony this summer, as they try to booster their roster.
