Having a long career, namely a career to have been loyal to a single franchise, comes with certain perks and ranks. Going into the 2014-15 season, we’ll count down just how many statistical categories Captain Kirk (along with a few other Bulls) are from moving up the all-time Bulls records.

Three-pointers made to be the first Bull with 1,000 from downtown. Kirk Currently leads the Bulls all-time in total 3PM and 3PA. With a career low in 2011 of 49, it’s safe to say he could reach such a milestone before any trade deadline.

Points to move into the 8th spot, passing Reggie Theus. Hinrich had a rather demonic scoring season last year with 666 points, and the next player is 1,261 points away(#7 – Artis Gilmore). Derrick Rose could crack the top 10 this year, being 1,355 points away from #10, Ben Gordon.
Kirk also needs 920 points to reach 10,000 career points. 8,027 were scored as a Bull.

Assists to tie Mr. 48 minutes of intensity himself, Norm Van Lier, for #3 all-time. Kirk Averages somewhere shy of 300 a year, and the #1 and 2 spots are held by Jordan and Pippen. With two seasons on his contract, it will be unlikely to see if Kirk bumps Pip for #2 (he would need 890 dimes as a Bull to do so). Rose is at #9 currently, but could move up to #5 with 518 dishes(in his MVP year, Rose had 623).

Defensive rebounds to crack the top 10. Kirk has not surpassed 174 DRB since the 2009-10 season, when he grabbed 236 defensive boards. Last season, his total was 161. The 10th spot is held by the Rubber Band Man himself, hometown selection for the Bulls in 74, Mickey Johnson.

Amount of Field Goals made to tie #8, Reggie Theus. Kirk Averaged 237 FGM in his last three seasons as a Bull.

Field Goals attempted needed to pass Chet the Jet Walker at the #6 spot all-time. Unlikely to happen this year, 502 missed FG to pass Luol Deng at #5 all-time.

Minutes needed to tie Bob Love(5th all-time) and 1,502 to pass his buddy, Luol Deng(4th). Kirk averaged 2,120 minutes in his last 3 seasons in Chicago.

Number of games Kirk Hinrich needs to play to tie Jerry Sloan for #3 all-time in games played in a Bulls jersey. In 2011-12, Kirk only played 48 games in the season with Atlanta, but 73 last season with the Bulls.

Joakim could also pass Jordan(#2) and Pippen(#3) on the Bulls all-time blocks list. Currently 128 away from the #2 spot. He sits at #4 all-time with 74 to go. This may be the ladder to watch throughout the season.
Noah needs 284 offensive rebounds to become the Bulls all-time leader. His career year of 282 last season suggests it’s possible this season. He also could move up two spots to #4 on defensive rebounds, and over-take Horace Grant for #6 on total rebounds. He can also crack the all-time top 10 for minutes played as a Bull.
