The Bears continue to make moves.
LAKE FOREST- Even though it’s Labor Day the Bears aren’t taking any time off. The front office has been very busy since finishing preseason play on Thursday night. After establishing their 53-man roster over the weekend, the Bears have made additions since then.
So far this morning, the Bears filled out their practice squad by signing offensive tackle Jamaal Johnson-Webb. The 306-pounder is a rookie who started the year with the Arizona Cardinals. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama A&M
All eight practice squad spots have now been filled. Also, WMVP-AM and WSCR-AM are reporting that the Bears are trading a conditional seventh round draft pick to Dallas in exchange for tight end Dante Rosario.
Rosario is a seven-year veteran of the league who has also played for Carolina, Miami, Denver and San Diego. The Bears will have to release a player in order to make room for the veteran.
