The NBA announced today that Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month. The Bulls led by Thibodeau, went 12-4 in the month of January and had key wins over the Celtics, Mavericks, Heat, and Magic.
Thibodeau earns his first ever NBA coach of the month award, this is his first season coaching the Bulls.
Thibodeau has done an excellent job this season, leading the Bulls to the second best record in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls success is helped by their 11-0 record against division opponents. The Bulls are the only team in the NBA that haven’t lost a conference game.
The Hornets Monty Williams was named the Western Conference Coach of the Month.
