Tim Anderson has been a bright spot in a dark season for the White Sox
So far, Tim Anderson has not disappointed White Sox fans and the organization.
Anderson has been nothing but a breath of fresh air to the South Siders, who have endured a 10-23 skid over their last 33 games after starting out 23-10. After getting his feet wet in the 9 hole in his opening series against the Kansas City Royals, Anderson has been the jolt to the Sox offense that they need hitting lead off.
4 of Tim Anderson's 8 hits have been for extra bases. 3 doubles and a triple.

His presence at the top of the order has allowed outfielder Adam Eaton, who is hitting .276 with a .363 on base percentage, to slide into the 2 slot. Now the Sox have two contact hitters with plus speed at the top of the order, which causes a lot more strain on a pitching staff before they get to Jose Abreu, Melky Cabrera and Todd Frazier.
Go, Tim, go!

Defensively, Anderson hasn’t been a problem thus far, which has allowed him to stay in the lineup and not have to turn back to Tyler Saladino, who is better served in a reserve, utility role.
Tim Anderson might be the vehicle that turns the White Sox around and gets them back on track as they look to compete in a very winnable AL Central.
