The Chicago Cubs went into Thursday with magic number of just two games to clinch a spot in the NL Wild Card Game, as the San Francisco Giants play late on night.
By the end of Friday, the Cubs could clinch that spot and even gain some ground on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Barring a historic collapse, the Cubs are likely playing in the Wild Card Game come October and today Major League Baseball announced the start time for the game.
Whether the game will be held in Pittsburgh or Chicago is to be determined, but the game will start at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, October 7.
