3. Bears defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker

Walker will enter 2025 in the final year of his three-year contract which is worth $21 million. The Bears would save $5.25 million by cutting Walker and would take on a $666,668 dead cap penalty.
Walker’s position on the Bears’ roster appears safe, given the glaring depth issues on the defensive line. Walker’s flexibility comes in handy, as he can play defensive end and be swapped to the interior part of the unit in certain packages.
Walker finished 2024 with 47 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
