Bears special teams Coach Dave Toub has left Chicago to take the same position in Kansas City. Becoming a member of Andy Reid’s staff is a more secure job than staying in Chicago; especially since no Bears’ assistant coach has been guaranteed a job for next year.
Toub’s special team units have been excellent in every aspect. Toub will mostly be remembered for is his grooming of Devin Hester in the kick return game. Hester has the most touchdowns via returning kicks in NFL history (18). Toub will also be remembered for pioneering field goal returns. Nathan Vasher and Devin Hester each returned a long field try to the house. He is a great hire for the Chiefs, and he will be missed by Bears fans.
