High school basketball season is still six months away but we are starting to see a few marquee match-ups scheduled for the 2014-2015 season. A few of those will be part of the 2015 Spalding Hoophall Classic and will feature two prominant Chicagoland teams.
The Hoophall Classic announced their 27 team field yesterday that is filled with fourteen of the nations top 25 prospects playing in the event. Locally, Chicago’s Simeon and Lincolnshire Stevenson were selected to participate in the showcase event that run from January 15-19, 2015 in Springfield , Mass.
The talent pool playing in the event is ridiculous and one of those top talents is Lincolnshire’s Jalen Brunson who is ranked No.24 nationally.
Simeon has been loaded with talent the past few years and will look to make a deep state title run again this season. These games will provide the chance for teams to see how they stack up against other top teams across the country.
Last season Chicago Curie earned defeated No. 1 ranked Montverde Academy 73-69 during the event.
