The Air Jordan I is one of the most iconic sneakers in history and has one of the most unique stories of how it came to fruition. When the shoe originally was created and then released in 1984 it was a hit.
But it was also banned from the NBA after Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan wore the red and black shoe in a game. The story has been told numerous times over the years but for the first time ever it will be told in the form of a movie.
Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1 is set to tell the incredible story of the Air Jordan I shoe that was banned from the NBA and later became the starting point of an iconic brand that is still popular today.
During the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, the trailer for the upcoming movie was officially released and it looks awesome.

As you can see above, the movie features several prominent figures such as Tinker Hatfield, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Michael B. Jordan, Spike Lee and David Stern.
It currently has a release date of July 13, 2018. More information including show times will be revealed in the future.
