With Mitchell Trubisky’s struggles in 2019, the Chicago Bears will likely add at least one more quarterback to the mix in the offseason. Depending on what they want to do with Trubisky, the Bears could look for a long-term solution in a veteran.

One of the hot names that has popped up recently has been Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.
The former No. 1 overall pick has missed most of the season with a foot injury, keeping him on I.R. as Kyle Allen has taken over the reigns. The Panthers could decide to move on from Newton by trying to trade him first and if not successful, outright cutting him.If that happens, it could be a good move for the Bears to make. As it stands now, Vegas loves the Bears as Newton’s landing spot, releasing odds on Thursday afternoon:
Odds for what team Cam Newton will be on for Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season (BetOnline):
Bears +250
Bengals +300
Panthers +400
Broncos/Dolphins +500
Chargers/Steelers/Titans +900
Patriots +1000
Bucs +1200 pic.twitter.com/xH76LHFKy3— Odds Shark (@OddsShark) November 20, 2019
With a defense that is ready to win the Super Bowl now, the Bears offense needs some big changes. They have to address quarterback, tight end, offensive line and maybe add another receiver along the way.
Newton could be a good fix for their problems at one of the positions moving forward and keep an eye on the Bears if he is moved or released.
