The Chicago Cubs will have the chance to eliminate the Washington Nationals on Tuesday afternoon thanks to a comeback effort in Game 3 on Monday.
Chicago trailed 1-0 and was hitless until the 7th inning when Ben Zobrist lined a double off of Max Scherzer. The hit knocked Scherzer out of the game and the Cubs rallied.
After a base hit by Albert Almora Jr., the Cubs tied the game and Wrigley Field was rocking as they had new life.
Then in the 8th, Cubs star Anthony Rizzo came up clutch driving in the go-ahead run:

Rizzo’s clutch hit was the game-winner and the first baseman was JACKED UP heading to the dugout.

The Cubs will send Jake Arrieta to the mound on Tuesday as he opposes Tanner Roark.
