Mercy! That’s all that needed to be said about Avisail Garcia’s game-saving home run in the bottom of the 9th inning on Saturday.
The White Sox were leading 3-2 with one out in the ninth when Orioles right fielder Chris Davis hit a deep fly ball to right field. Garcia tracked the ball and leaped up against the fetch to rob Davis of a home run and save the game for the White Sox.
Watch the play:
The White Sox got a great performance from starter Jeff Samardzija who took a no-hit bid into the 6th inning. Samardzija struck out nine in 7 2/3 inning of work before handing it over to the bullpen.
