Maybe University of North Carolina head coach Roy Williams needs to come to Chicago Bulls games more often.
With Williams in attendance for Tuesday’s Bulls game at the United Center vs. the New York Knicks, rookie Coby White had a career night. The former UNC standout scored 27 points including seven three-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Bulls beat the Knicks 120-102.
White scored 23 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and while he was hot from the three-point line, he set a new Bulls franchise record. The rookie’s seven made three-pointers were the most in a single quarter in Bulls franchise history. Yep, franchise history.
And White did it in front of Williams, too.
While the season is still very early, White’s performance tonight was a bright spot for the a Bulls team that has been struggling. He hasn’t been starting early in his career but he’s been very effective off of the bench.
