Darnell Mooney shows some moves in the offseason
Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney caught a difficult pass at a youth camp this past week. The third-year wide receiver is looking to be the Bears’ number-1 wide receiver heading into the 2022 season. The former fifth-round selection led the Bears in receiving yards last season.
Video posted to Twitter by Daniel Greenberg shows Mooney snagging a ball over four defenders before going to the ground holding the ball.

Bears fans want to see this starting in September
Great grab by Mooney. Those skills and fight for the ball have me pumped to see what he can do on upcoming Sundays this year. With Mooney and quarterback Justin Fields in their second season together, production from the pair could be off the charts in 2022.
Mooney has told reporters this offseason he wants to gain respect this season. He will have plenty of opportunities to prove himself this season against NFL talent, unlike in the video. Although his technique was still incredible to watch.
But it’s one I could have lived without seeing. Watching Field’s best target tumble to the ground around four pairs of legs in early June made my stomach flutter a bit. The last thing the Bears need with their wide receiver room is an offseason injury.
