It’s only been a few days since Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez got the news he was being promoted to Triple-A Charlotte, the last step before the major leagues. And already he’s making an impact.
Jimenez recorded his first hit in Triple-A in his first game on Thursday. Now he has his first home run.
The top prospect launched a long home run over the centerfield wall on Sunday, recording his first home run in Triple-A. Watch the 408-foot blast below:

Jimenez is expected to reach the big leagues at some point this Summer in Chicago and if he keeps on raking, that will be sooner than later. With the White Sox struggles this season, getting Jimenez up at the right time will be key.
