Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez is officially in the hit column.
After going 0-3 in the White Sox season opening loss on Thursday, it didn’t take long for Jimenez to record his first career hit. In the top of the second inning during Saturday’s game, Jimenez poked a single up the middle as he beat the Royals’ shift:
Jimenez is the former No. 3 overall prospect in baseball and made the 2019 roster after signing an extension with the White Sox in Spring Training.
He has all of the tools to be a superstar at this level and his rookie season should be an exciting one on the South Side.
