Chicago Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez is putting together a hell of a season in the minor leagues.
For his efforts this season, Jimenez was elected to participate in the Carolina League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.
On Monday night Jimenez left his mark, literally, on the Home Run Derby by shattering a stadium light during the competition. The moment was captured by Baseball America’s J.J. Cooper as seen below:

Holy smokes. The crowd reaction is pretty damn cool as you can hear them react in real time once the ball hits the light.
Looks like the Cubs have another big masher in the farm system.
