A few weeks ago it was Kyle Schwarber who hit his first career grand slam in dramatic fashion to help the Cubs beat the Cardinals at Wrigley Field.
On Tuesday, it was the rookie Ian Happ who hit his first career grand salami.
Happ connected on a pitch in the second inning and took New York Mets starter Zack Wheeler deep. It was part of a big inning for the Cubs, as they scored seven runs off of Wheeler.

Happ has raked since being called up to the majors in early May. Of his first 18 hits, 12 of them have been for extra bases. That included a two-home run game against the St. Louis Cardinals a week ago.
