For the second-straight night, the Chicago Cubs walked-off against the Miami Marlins but this time in came in extra innings.
The Cubs couldn’t hold a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning, following another big pitching performance from Kyle Hendricks. After Miami got a run in the top of the inning, the game went to extra innings and that’s where the magic happened.
In the bottom of the 11th, leadoff hitter Jason Heyward hit an opposite field home run to give the Cubs their second-straight win. Check out Heyward’s homer below:
Heyward’s basket shot comes a night after Kris Bryant hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning.
The win also guarantees the Cubs won’t lose the series vs. Miami, marking the 10th-straight series they haven’t lost. The two teams will wrap up the four-game set Thursday afternoon.
