With just five games remaining until the MLB All-Star break, the Chicago Cubs are hoping this stretch finally gets them going.
After the Tampa Bay Rays took game one of a quick two-game series, Chicago fell behind once again on Wednesday. They trailed 3-0 going into the sixth inning and struggled to bring runners in.
That is until Jon Jay stepped up to the plate.
With two outs and runners on first and second, Jay pinch hit for starter John Lackey and made the most of it.
Watch as Jay tied the game with a three-run homer to the opposite field:

Before that home run from Jay, the Cubs had 8 baserunners and managed zero runs.
Starter John Lackey exited giving up three runs on six hits.
