The Chicago Cubs are coming off a big series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, taking 2-of-3 in the desert over the weekend.
They regained the NL Central Division lead by a game over the St. Louis Cardinals entering Monday’s action against the Cincinnati Reds. With the team looking to go up 1.5 games over the Red Birds, they are off to a good start.
Third baseman Kris Bryant has been on fire the last four games, only recording only two outs once in eleven at-bats against the Diamondbacks. On Monday, he continued that hot play hitting a big two-run homer in the fourth inning:

Bryant’s home run put the Cubs up 6-2 as starter Jose Quintana settled in after a shaky second inning. But right after Bryant’s home run, Rizzo decided to get in on the fun:

The home runs were the 22nd of Bryant’s season and 27th of Rizzo’s. More importantly, it has the Cubs up five as they look to build their lead in the NL Central.
