It didn’t take long for Chicago Cubs slugger Kris Bryant to make an impact in his first career game at Fenway Park.
Bryant crushed the second pitch he saw for a home run, hitting it over the Green Monster in left Field and gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead.

Bryant has a unique tie to the Red Sox organization.
His father, Mike, was selected by the Boston Red Sox and played Single-A ball for the organization from 1980-81. He even proposed to his wife behind the Green Monster.
But little did Mike know that one day his son would be mashing taters over the Green Monster just a year after winning the NL MVP.
