Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber might be slimmed down but the power is still there.
Schwarber hit a big home run in Thursday’s Opening Day win for the Cubs, his first on the season. While he went hitless in the Cubs loss on Friday, he followed it up with getting a hit right away on Saturday.
In the second inning, Schwarber hit a moonshot home run to tie the game at two after Cubs starter Yu Darvish gave up a first inning home run. Schwarber’s homer went 407 feet into the upper deck:

Schwarber now has two home runs in the young season and is coming off a 2017 campaign in which he hit 30. He may have his struggles in the field but he can still hit the long ball with the best of them.
