The Chicago Cubs are hoping to salvage one game in this three-game set in Philadelphia after losing the first two to the Phillies this week. So far, they are off to a good start thanks to the long ball.
Chicago has hit two home runs in the game already and one was a franchise milestone.
Kyle Schwarber connected on a long ball that went 417-feet in the fifth inning for the 100th home run of his Cubs career. By doing so, he became the fastest player in franchise history to reach the 100-home run milestone, doing it in 453 games. He passes Kris Bryant (487) games for the new record:

Schwarber now has 28 home runs on the season and is just two shy of tying his career high of 30 he set back in 2017.
