Following a 7-2 home stand with series wins over Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and San Diego, the Cubs now head on the road for nine-straight.
This road trip starts off on the West Coast with three games in San Francisco before the Cubs return to the Midwest to take on Milwaukee and St. Louis for a pair of three-game series. This could be a big chance for the Cubs to extend their lead in the NL Central and with the struggles they have had on the road, the Cubs really need to play better.
They got off to a good start in Monday’s game as infielder Robel Garcia blasted a home run that landed in the Bay in the top of the first inning vs. the Giants:
Garcia’s home run traveled 454.47ft and left his bat at 112.85mph.
