When the Chicago Bears hired Matt Nagy as head coach, fans were real excited with the prospects of the team’s new offense in this era.
Nagy showed in his time with Kansas City that he can have a really good offense as he got the most out of quarterback Alex Smith. While Nagy had playmakers like Kareem Hunt, Spencer Ware, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, he found ways to utilize those players to their strengths.
The head coach inherits a young Bears roster that has some talent on both sides of the ball. With this offense, Nagy will coach Mitchell Trubisky, Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen, Anthony Miller and more.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Nagy runs this offense and what it can become over time. On Monday, Cohen joined “The Jim Rome” show to discuss his role in the offense. Listen to what he had to say about how Nagy has him lining up:
Cohen had a solid rookie season after he was drafted by the Bears out of North Carolina A&T. With a new offensive minded coach in place, the sky might be the limit for Cohen and the Bears offense in 2018.
