Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras has put together a heck of a career so far since making his debut with the organization in June of 2016. His hard work has paid off in the form of a World Series title in 2016 and now a starting spot in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game.
With fan voting concluding just a few days ago, the league announced the starters and remaining roster for the annual Summer Classic to be played in a few weeks in Washington D.C.
For the Cubs, they will have three representatives as Contreras, Javier Baez and pitcher Jon Lester were named to the team. Both Contreras and Baez will be starting and appearing in their first All-Star Games. Following the announcement, the Cubs released this video showing both Baez and Contreras receiving the news that they were selected.

As you can see, Contreras lets his emotions get the best of him as he breaks down while taking batting practice before the Cubs win over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon.
The annual MLB All-Star Game will be played at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on July 17th with live coverage on FOX.
