Ricky’s comeback kids did it again on Saturday.
Two days after coming back from four runs down to the Kansas City Royals on Thursday, the Chicago White Sox played from behind again to win another game and improve to 2-0 on the early season. The White Sox grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning but found themselves trailing 2-1 after the Royals scored in the bottom half.
Chicago trailed 3-1 heading into the eighth inning and it looked as if they were doomed. But then the bats started to come alive and Yoan Moncada got the scoring started.
Moncada hit his first home run of the 2018 season in the top of the eighth inning, a solo shot off of Brandon Maurer to cut the deficit to 3-2. Watch Moncada’s solo shot below:

The former top overall prospect hit 8 home runs in 199 bats last season after being called up to the big leagues in July. He’s considered one of the key pieces in the White Sox rebuild and it will be fun to watch him as the season goes on.
The White Sox are looking to sweep the series on Sunday with Reynaldo Lopez taking the mound opposing Jason Hammel. First pitch is set for 1:15 p.m. CST.
