Kyle Weaver (shooting-guard), John Lucas III (point guard), and former Illini Basketball star, Roger Powell (small forward) were waived, on Thursday, by the Chicago Bulls.
None of the cuts were a surprise, and the current roster stands at 13:
- Derrick Rose, C.J. Watson
- Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver
- Luol Deng, Keith Bogans, James Johnson
- Carlos Boozer, Taj Gibson, Brian Scalabrine
- Joakim Noah, Kurt Thomas, Omer Asik
The team will need to trim their active roster down to 12 players, by the opening of their 2010-11 campaign.
