More minutes for Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams
Caruso has been the vocal leader and has been pioneering the defensive mindset for the Bulls in this series. His impact continues to rise with each game. After logging in 37 minutes in his previous game, Coach Billy Donovan has to be pleased with what he is bringing to the table. His numbers from Game 2 don’t jump off the stat sheet (9 points, 10 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), but his defensive plays and leadership have kept Chicago’s younger players in tune.
Patrick Williams also logged in some heavier minutes than usual in Game 2, closing the night with 10 points and 9 rebounds. The Bulls are counting on Williams in this series to match up against Antetokounmpo and it hasn’t been an easy task with Giannis putting up 27 points in Game 1 and 33 in Game 2. We can expect Williams to continue making the most of his limited offensive opportunities and do his best to slow down Antetokounmpo’s scoring.
