Will we see first round pick Carlos Rodon at the major league level with the White Sox this season? It’s very possible.
The White Sox announced they have promoted the left-hander to Triple-A Charlotte, which gets him one step close to the major leagues. Rodon was selected No. 3 overall by the White Sox in the June draft and pitched in both Rookie League and Single-A. He joins Charlotte in a starting role.
We could see Rodon when the rosters are expanded in September, but likely as a reliever to start off. A piece of the future for the White Sox rotation could be here very soon to compliment Chris Sale.
