The Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura has pulled pitcher Ronald Belisario from his role as a closer for the team after another bad outing against the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night, the Sox won the game 5-4.
It’s been reportedly a lot lately that the closer is on the hot seat, and arguably some reporters say that shouldn’t be the case, but the 31 year old pitcher’s ERA is now at 5.79 after Friday’s game and has converted eight of his 12 save opportunities.
Belisario has stated numerous of times that just got to do his job according to reports, but after Friday’s outing in Toronto.. there may not be one.
Sox manager Ventura will discuss it with the ball club’s pitching coach Don Cooper on who will be right for the job and whether pulling Belisario was the right idea.
Some pitchers the Sox have in the bullpen that can be seeing potential save opportunities in the near future are Pitchers Daniel Webb, Javy Guerra, and Jake Petricka.
