IceHogs goalie, Jeff Glass, made his home debut this past Saturday night in Rockford. That debut in front of a sellout crowd, was one he’d just as soon forget. Glass had made his team debut on the road two weeks ago, turning in a shutout performance. But, the Iowa Wild appeared to get the best of him, beating the IceHogs 5-1.
Saturday night was also the annual Pink in the Rink night for the IceHogs. The players wore special pink jerseys and hose that fans had a chance on winning in a silent auction. Proceeds go to help fight Breast Cancer.
Rockford’s lone goal was scored by Jeremy Langlois. If you’re keeping track, that’s two goals in two games for Langlois.
The AHL All-Star game is in the books and Rockford’s Spencer Abbott scored the game winning goal in a shoot-out and the Central Division won the game. Added bonus for IceHogs fan was former IceHogs goalie, Michael Leighton, being in net for the Central Division during that game.
Roster moves…The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled Gustav Forsling(D).
