It took a little over a week for Yoan Moncada to go yard in the major leagues.
After struggling a bit at the plate in his first week in the big leagues, the Chicago White Sox top prospect finally reached the achievement. In the bottom of the 7th inning with the White Sox losing 6-1, Moncada stepped to the plate against Jake Arrieta.
On a 0-2 pitch, Moncada sent a deep shot to centerfield as it went over the fence for a home run:

It was just the second hit of the night for the White Sox against Arrieta but it was a special one for Moncada.
With plenty of season left, we expect to see a few more homers from Moncada like this one.
