Lou Piniella announced Wednesday, that the Cubs “Ace” is headed to the bullpen. With Big Z in the bullpen, Ted Lilly can enter the starting rotation.
This move might fix multiple problems. Zambrano has struggled thus far as a starter. The Cubs need some right-handed help in the ‘pen. And on top of that, Ted Lilly is scheduled to be activated off of the disabled list Saturday.
